- Wai CInitial review Brisket -very nicely done Ribs - my personal favorite Pulled pork - tried a Texas version recently that was too salty for my liking, though I was told it was supposed to be salty. I prefer this version. Sausage - unique tasting sausage. They use whole fennel. Loved their sauce line up. The ribs go very well with the sweet.. Though really it goes well with all the sauces. I didn't prefer the sweet with the brisket but the bourbon and spicy pairs well. Macaroni and cheese - very cheesy, but it's a little soft for my liking. Beans -solid Coleslaw - slightly sweet Potato salad -number one pick. 5 stars. Want to get a tub of this. Service is extremely friendly. If you talk to the owners Wayne or Carla, they will let you know all about bbq and even give you tips if you want to make it at home 7% discount for military, first responders and fire
- Lt MThe food here is absolutely delicious. I tried the ribs, brisket, and sausage and all of the meats were cooked to perfection. They tasted so good that they didn't even need any BBQ sauce but of course I had to try the Bourbon, Spicy, and Sweet sauces and each of those were unique in their flavors and just added to the perfect meal. The place is owned by a husband and wife who both cook and work the counter and they are super nice and just exude southern hospitality. If you are looking for delicious BBQ in the Millard area of Omaha, do yourself a favor and stop in at Smokin Barrel BBQ.
CavalryJoeThis BBQ place is amazing. They even have Tri Tip. I've never seen that cut anywhere in Omaha. The owner is a great guy also.
